The Broker — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.
Platforms
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Having both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your assessment.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
